Thanks to my wonderful grandparents that have
unconditionally supported me and my parents during their pregnancy and beyond. Grandma
Kathy, Grandma Mary, Grandpa Jim, Great Grandma Pauline, and Great Grandpa A.W.
have all gone out of their way to provide me with several things that I have
needed. So many things in fact that it would be difficult to list them all here.
It appears they will do just about anything
to get in my good graces! Just kidding! I know they love me, and I love them,
too. They are so thoughtful and caring and have been extremely helpful to me and
my parents. Among the many generous gifts they have gotten for me and my family,
their best was by coming from Texas to see me and helping my parents cook and
clean for 3 weeks straight! Thank you! They even got me my very own crib and
mattress, and Grandma Mary made a bed set to go with it!
Suffice it to say that they are the most generous and thoughtful people I know.
I love my grandparents!!! And so do my parents!!!

Thanks also to the wonderful extended family I have. Both Edith and Kathy
M. handmade me blankets, a beautiful white afghan and black quilt respectively. Becky got me some cool
yellow PJ's and a rattle. Patty Lou sent a blanket and clothes, and Martin sent
me a cool mobile. Dale and
Ray sent me some nice clothes. And Frank and
Judy L. sent me and my parents a helpful "ge$ture". What nice people I have in my family!
And of course a very special thanks to Sarah V.!!!! She has been
extremely supportive of Mommy and has been more than generous with her gifts for
me!
Sarah threw me and Mommy a baby shower, too. At the shower alone she and Greg
gave me some clothes and toys, and they gave Mommy some nursing supplies, a
"Boppy" nursing pillow, and some wipes for my behind. She is so sweet! We love
you, Sarah!

Thanks to the wonderful friends of my parents, too.
They have been so generous and thoughtful with their letters of support and gifts
for me. Grandma Kathy's friends Marilyn B.
sent me a very nice bear doll, Deb K. sent me some books, and Kay N. sent me a
handmade blanket and toy. Sarah's friend Judy got me some cute pink
outfits. Mommy's friends Dena P.
made me a beautiful violet afghan, and Michelle R. sent me some much needed
cloth diapers. Our neighbor Karen R. gave my Mommy some of her very nice
maternity clothes, brought us dinner, and gave me a toy. Her daughter Cassidy has
made Mommy several pretty wildflower bouquets, too. Michael and Diane A. sent my parents a sling
from Blessed Baby so I can hang out with them
everywhere they go. Michael G. of
Street
Level Media sent me a high-chair so I can sit at the table
with Mommy and Daddy. And Daddy said
Craig
B., Michael G., Sylvia B., Michael A., Betty H., Michael F., the Wood Bros.,
and several others have all
been very supportive with their letters and phone calls to him, too. Thank you all for
your support!
And a VERY, VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MOMMY'S FRIEND, LIZ!!! Kain's
mommy, Liz, has been more supportive and thoughtful than any one person during
Mommy's pregnancy... and she just happens to live over two thousand miles away
from me! She has sent me and Mommy countless gifts, as well as provided Mommy
and Daddy numerous emails and phone calls of support. Mommy and Daddy said they
are grateful to have a friend as wonderful as Liz. Thank you, Liz!!!

Thanks to my Mommy's co-workers at Portland's
General Tool ("GT") who
have been extremely generous and supportive with several things I need, too.
Krissa P. went out of her way to help Sarah with the baby shower, and to help organize
the GT gifts for the baby shower. GT's employees provided me a very
nice car seat and some safety gadgets, and then surprised my Mommy with a
glider rocker at work! I love to rock with my Mommy in that glider. Thank you,
General Tool, for being so supportive during my Mommy's pregnancy!

Thanks to several other of Mommy's co-workers who also got me and Mommy some special things, too. Eldon got me some
really cute clothes and toys. Jim C. gave Mommy a baby gate. Missy and Shannon got me a wonderful play gym
and "splat mat". Susan, who used to work with Mommy, got me a blanket and some
nicely knitted clothes. And Diana, who also used to work with Mommy, got me a
lot of cool things, too, like some sunglasses, a blanket, safety stuff and a
musical toy. She also got Mommy little bowls for her favorite food . . .
